The Shape of Sweetness

The ANJOU Candleholder takes its name and shape from the tender curves of the pear. Like a pair of Anjous stacked on a sunlit counter, this piece evokes warmth, and balance.

Formed by hand and cast in solid bronze or white bronze, ANJOU celebrates the playful side of sculpture—bringing fruitfulness into form, and function into poetry.

A Fruitful Form

A form both humble and elegant, this series is inspired by the gentle curves of the Anjou pear. Bulbous yet balanced, pears have long appeared in still life painting as symbols of abundance, beauty, and quiet sensuality.

From the early bloom of pear blossoms to the ripened skin of green, red, and golden varieties, the pear offers a study in softness: weighted but never heavy, sculptural but never sharp. This work follows that silhouette, rounded, tapering, subtly poised.
