Pipe Dreams, Realized

Inspired by the industrial simplicity of hollow steel piping, the TUBE Bookends transform raw geometry into a playful desktop companion. With exaggerated curves and a powder-coated finish, they blur the line between utility and sculpture—offering structure, colour, and a quiet sense of humour.

Designed to hold space, literally and figuratively, TUBE brings a sense of balance to shelves, desks, and creative corners. Use them solo or as a pair to support your books, frame your workspace, or simply add form to function.

Durability in Detail

Shiro Kuramata (1934–1991) was a pioneering Japanese designer whose work blurred the line between function and fantasy. Trained at the Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo, Kuramata combined industrial materials with poetic form, creating furniture and interiors that felt both playful and otherworldly.

Kuramata believed design should spark emotion, not just solve problems. His work balanced precision with whimsy, architecture with dream.

Like Kuramata’s work, TUBE Bookends celebrate the bold and expressive.
